Joel C. Adams is Professor and Chair of the Department of Computer Science at Calvin College, where he has taught since 1989. He has written dozens of technical papers, is the author of several successful textbooks, is Calvin's principle investigator in the NSF-funded project CSinParallel.org, and has been the principle architect of six Beowulf-class supercomputers. He is a two-time Fulbright 92 scholar (Mauritius, 1998; Iceland, 2005) and is an ACM Distinguished Educator.
