Jeff has been a faculty member in the Department of Mathematics at Illinois State University since 1997. His teaching and research interests focus on the coordination of number and space as students learn mathematics, on the professional growth of teachers in K-8 teaching positions, and on the use of technological means to support mathematical learning. He has directed or co-directed several funded research projects examining children's measurement from a learning standpoint and from a teaching standpoint.
