The Traveling Sensory Classroom is an experiential workshop that helps attendees understand what it is like to have Sensory Processing Disorder (SPD). The classroom is split up into three sections. The first section is an informative lecture on the signs and symptoms of SPD and how it affects the behavior of children. The second section is classroom simulation where participants will receive some personal exposure to overwhelming sensory input. For the final section will be to debrief the simulation as well as discuss strategies to support children who have SPD.
